This gorgeous Vette has been body off frame restored. Correct 340 hp motor and it runs strong. From a private Corvette collection. The "Split Window" is the most iconic Corvette and does nothing but go up in value!

EXTERIOR: The 62-67 Vettes are one of the few cars where the coupe is worth more than a convertible; that's because of its good looks. In 63 a coupe adds $100,000+ in value! Its one year split window design has become very iconic. Overall, very nice body with no damage and good fit. Painted a gorgeous dark burgundy metallic. It presents itself real nice but does have minor imperfections. The headlights open and close properly. Weatherstrips were replaced. Overall, the chrome is straight and shiny. The emblems, bow tie mirror and hood inserts are new. New set of knock off wheels and radial redline tires. Just installed and balanced.

INTERIOR: The saddle color is really rich looking. It has genuine leather upholstery. The door panels and all its trim looks new. Clean gauges are all working. It has correct 6500 redline tachometer for a 340 hp motor. New dash pads. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole. The console is very nice, it has switches for the power windows. Carpet was replaced front to back. Headliner was replaced.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a correct 327 with optional 340 hp. The casting and stamped codes are correct. It is restored to original condition. Being ac340 hp it has an aluminum intake, finned valve covers, a unique air cleaner and deep groove pulleys so the belts don't fly off at high RPMs. It has a proper carb, fuel line, filter and choke tube. The cooling system is proper- the radiator, shroud, expansion tank etc. It has the complete ignition shielding. All the components look clean and proper. It's cleaned up and painted really nice.

UNDERSIDE: It has been body off frame restored. The front and rear independent suspension has been completely rebuilt. The steering is rebuilt. Upgraded front sway bar. Factory type dual exhaust system with the polished slash cut tips going through the valance. The brake system has been restored. Brake lines, e-brake cables, hoses were replaced. Looking up at the motor it is clean. It has the correct starter, fuel pump and lower ignition shielding. Muncie M20 4-speed trans looks fresh. The rear end also looks fresh, it has 3.70 posi. The frame is rock solid painted semi glass black. Original fiberglass floors look to be in excellent shape. It has the spare tire carrier and spare.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and serviced it. We rebuilt the carb, set the timing, replaced the fuel gauge, replaced a headlight door motor, calibrated the speedometer, replaced temp sending unit and gauge, gave it a 4 wheel alignment, lubed and adjusted window track, serviced the brake pedal and adjusted the exhaust because of a rattle. We also bought, balanced, and installed a new set of knock off wheels and radial redline tires.

CONCLUSION: The split window is such a good investment. It's not just sought after by the Corvette experts; it appeals to the masses. This one is a gorgeous example.
