This is a real # matching fuelie Corvette. The correct fuelie unit and distributor are included: $10,000+ value by itself!

EXTERIOR: The gaps around the panels and headlights are excellent. No fiberglass damage showing, original front clip. Repainted it's original Riverside Red according to the trim tag. It is shiny and shows very well, minor imperfections if you look for them. Overall bright chrome. Correct antenna and short stem bowtie mirror. It rolls on a set of great looking knock off wheels and radial Good Year tires. It is a 2 topper! It has the optional removable hardtop which was repainted. It has a good original headliner. The black convertible top is old but functional.

INTERIOR: Door panels, armrests and hardware look great. Seats were reupholstered. The dash pads look great. The instruments look great, it has correct 6500 redline tachometer for a fuelie car. A stereo fits in the factory hole, there are speakers setting in the rear compartment. Console looks great, has correct shifter. Carpet is in excellent shape.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This has the VIN # matching 327-360 hp motor, RF code Fuel Injection. The F.I. units had a reputation of being troublesome, many were replaced with carburetors. This one has a factory aluminum intake and an Edelbrock carb with an electric choke. It still has stock exhaust manifolds, valve covers, and a 340 hp air cleaner. The correct fuel injection system and distributor is included with the purchase. I just found a complete F.I. system on e-bay for $18,500. The ignition shielding is also included. The components all look good.

UNDERSIDE: This is the first year for independent suspension. The front end looks like it's been gone through, the ball joints and bushings have been replaced. The dual exhaust system has new stainless steel mufflers and the chrome tips are routed correctly through the valance. This comes with 4 wheel drum brakes which we serviced. Looking up at the motor it has the correct canister type oil filter, starter, and fuel pump. It's clean Chevy Orange. It has it's VIN number matching T10 4-speed trans. In back is a 3.36 posi rear end. The frame looks solid. The original fiberglass floors are not damaged. It has the complete spare tire carrier.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the horn, replaced the front wheel cylinders, bled the brakes, replaced 3 e-brake cables, and adjusted them correctly.

CONCLUSION: It makes sense. Right now, as it sits it's a red, #s matching fuelie set up as a 340 hp. It includes the correct fuel injection worth $8,500, correct distributor worth $2,000 and a hardtop worth $3,000. That's $13,500 value being included! Install the fuel injection and the price of the car goes up $25,000. Drive it as-is or take it to the next level, either choice is a winner!
