How often do you see one of these?

Very popular car in Europe but rarely seen here in the United States. It is a very solid car that lived in California then North Carolina. Currently owned by an avid car collector. He drove it here over an hour troublefree. Actually he insisted that I went for a drive with him once he got to Volo. The functions really well. 1962 featured the new B18 motor designed for the Volvo P1800 sportscar. It has 5 main bearings and dual carbs. Another big improvement for 1962 is the update from 6 to 12 volt electrical systems.

It's a good looker too. Has resemblance to American cars from the 40s. Upfront it has has bumper guard, swedish license plate and grill medallions. In back it has bumper gaurds and reverse light. White wall tires dress it up too. Overall the body, paint and chrome are in very good shape.

Inside is also very good. Has red upholstery with bucket seats in front. There is a custom made console around the floor shift 4-speed. Rare Am-Fm radio and aircraft style seatbelts. Motor compartment is very clean and proper. Trunk is clean, has matching white wall tire for a spare. Underneath is solid and proper.
Interesting, fun car.
