Costumers with a Cause at Volo Museum Princess and Superhero Day

ANNUAL PRINCESS AND SUPERHERO CHARITY EVENT RETURNS.

VOLO, IL – After a two-year COVID hiatus, Volo Museum will be hosting its annual Princess & Superhero Day on Saturday, March 26th from 10am-5pm in the Volo Museum located at 27582 Volo Village Rd. Any kid 12 years old and younger that dresses up in their favorite costume gets free admission to the museum and the event.

Everyone that attends will have the chance to meet dozens of elaborately costumed characters courtesy of Costumers With a Cause and the Fairytale Birthday Co. ranging from your favorite Disney Princesses to heroes from Marvel, DC Comics, Star Wars and many others. Guests will also have the opportunity to take their picture in the original 1966 Batmobile for $5.

“Portions of all admissions, and all fees from the Batmobile photo opp, will benefit the Hero Initiative,” said Brian Grams, museum director. He continues “Our last event was in 2019 and as one of our most popular events, we are more than excited to invite everyone back again.”

Though costumed volunteers will be in attendance from 10am-5pm, visitors are encouraged to be there between 11am-3pm for the maximum number of characters. The day’s offerings will also include food trucks in addition to Volo’s Showtime Pizzeria.

“The museum itself is a unique experience,” said Jim Wojdyla, Marketing Director, “but seeing a 1920’s carousel with princesses, bumping into a couple Ghostbusters by Ecto 1, or getting to meet your favorite superhero takes the day to a different level of fun.”

The Volo Museum is open daily and features 45 exhibits and well over 15,000 historical items including much more than hundreds of classic, muscle and famous film cars. There is something of interest for every age. Regular admission is $19.95 for adults.

Costumers With a Cause, a 501c3 Non-Profit organization, is a group of volunteers who make their own elaborate costumes to entertain children, raise money for children’s charities. 100% of funds raised go to that organization.

The Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for comic creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. The Hero Initiative has benefited creators with more than $1 million worth of much-needed aid.
