#s match, Calif car! Frame off restored. Cold a/c.

Body off frame restored! Pontiac Historical documented, #s match 455. Performance built motor, upgraded to a 5-speed and modern rally wheels. It has factory a/c, this is a fantastic driver! This is a California rust free car. It was sold new in Oxnard and we have it's original "blue plate" that was registered to this car until 2015. Pontiac Historical documented. These are great looking and performing cars. Only 4,800 Trans Ams were made in 1973. Compare to a Camaro: 11,364 Z-28s were made, an SS was no longer available and the biggest engine Camaro offered was a 350!

EXTERIOR: Great looking lines with the long hood, low roof line and a short deck lid. It's decked out with spoilers, air extractors in the fenders and the famous ram air shaker hood scoop. Clean California rust free body. No damage or bubbles. It's straight and fits square and flush. Doors shut like new. Repainted it's original Cameo White paint which is polished like glass. The rubber bumper is excellent with only a few typical hairline cracks in the paint. The bird on the hood is excellent. The chrome is all excellent, rare bumper guards in back. Weather strips and seals were replaced. New windshield. I love the modern version of the Rally wheels. They are 17 inch wheels wrapped in BFG G-Force performance tires.

INTERIOR: It's like new inside! Door panels, upholstery, headliner, carpet are mint. So are the bits and pieces- speaker shelf, seat backs, seat belts, visors etc. The dash area is mint. It has the machine turned instrument bezel around the rally gauges. Quartz movement in the clock. The original Am-Fm radio and 8-track player are in place but it has a hidden stereo that uses a remote control. It has reproduction mats.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The numbers matching original 455 has had a performance rebuild. It has a hotter cam, polished aluminum water pump, Edelbrock heads and intake, dual feed Holley carb and H.O. exhaust manifols. Every component looks fresh and proper. The brake booster is cadmium plated, master cylinder and alternator look new. It's complete with overflow bottle, washes are hooked up, battery is properly secured, the air cleaner duct work is all hooked up etc. The factory air conditioning works, we serviced it. It also has power steering and power brakes. It is a detailed motor compartment.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The paint under the trunk lid and jamb are painted glossy. New weather strip, stickers and mat. Inside is rust free metal with a gray spatter finish. It has original collapsible spare with air bottle and jack assembly.

UNDERSIDE: Body off frame restored, every component under this car was removed and rebuilt or replaced. The front end steering and suspension is completely redone. The rear suspension was redone. It has front and rear swaybars, upgraded KYB gas shocks and lowering springs. It has an upgraded Pypes stainless steel exhaust with X-Pipe and transverse muffler with polished slash cut tips. The fuel system was completely replaced including the tank, lines and sending unit. It has disc brakes up front, drum in back. The entire brake system has been restored: new brake lines, e-brake cable is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, it has a high torque starter. Recently upgraded with a new 5-speed Tremec trans and all new related parts. Rebuilt drive shaft connects to it's original 3.08 Saf-T-Track rear end.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and hooked up reverse lights to the new 5-speed trans, we repaired the wipers, installed new wiper arms, repaired the air conditioning system, replaced the expansion valve and blower relay, charged it with R134. We repaired the remote mirror lever and installed the license plate light.

This is a car that will make it's owner proud. The quality is high, it looks like a show car. The big smiles will come when you get behind the wheel and shift those gears, feel the power and hear the music coming from the exhaust!
