Meticulous frame off restoration! A/c, ps, pdb

Only 2,000 miles on a $75,000 body off frame restoration. Real Super Sport with original motor, trans, and rear. It also has a few nice upgrades like Vintage Air and power disc brakes.

EXTERIOR: The body is amazing; it is laser straight. The panels fit precisely, the doors can open and close with one finger. Repainted a glass finish red paint, the jams are even slick. There was a bad reaction in the paint that has caused small bubbles in places. Standing next to the car it looks like a jewel. Optional fender skirts are included. They are painted and easily installed if you prefer them. The trim really makes this SS stand out. The stainless is polished like chrome, even the wipers! The chrome all sparkles. It is decked out with extras: door handle guards, fuel door trim, rocker moldings, rear antenna, bumper guards, grill guard, dual mirrors etc. It is a Super Sport, so it has machine turned trim on the tail panel and side trim. Even all the window frames are new chrome. All the glass was replaced. All the weather strips and seals were replaced. The 14 inch rims were painted, the SS hubcaps are mint and wrapped in radial tires.

INTERIOR: Inside the car is new from carpet to headliner. Nice red carpet and seat belts on the floor. The bucket seats are completely restored, new reproduction console in between them. In front of me everything looks fantastic. It has an optional padded dash. There is a retro stereo and upgraded speakers in the factory locations. The air conditioning controls look stock but are now electric. The door panels, armrests, window cranks are new. The white headliner with embossed stars and matching visors is new.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original 327 according to the codes and dates. It was completely rebuilt. It has stock manifolds, updated dual feed Holley carb. New Vintage Air heat and a/c system. An aluminum radiator keeps the engine cool. It also has power steering and an upgraded power brake system with dual master reservoir. All the metal surfaces are painted nicely, all the components look fresh and properly installed.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb look like red glass. It has a working trunk light. The weather strip and seat insulation were replaced. The rim is painted and has a 5th matching tire. The jack is restored. It comes with a few extras including a toolbox and floor jack.

UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is completely rebuilt and looks like brand new. The rear suspension also looks new: the bushings, shocks, and springs. The brake system has been completely overhauled. New lines, hoses, e-brake cables, and it is upgraded to disc in the front. New dual exhaust system neatly bent along the x-frame. It has glass pack style mufflers. The fuel system including the tank was replaced. Looking up at the motor it's clean Chevy orange, the starter looks new, it has correct canister type oil filter. The power glide automatic transmission looks fresh. Original rear end with 3.08 gears Il. I'm amazed at how clean the metal under this car is. The chassis has no pitting. The floors, braces, rockers are smooth as a chalkboard painted semi gloss black.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and adjusted the timing, repaired the reverse lights, replaced turn signal switch and wiper motor, calibrated the speedometer.

This Super Sport has undergone an over-the-top restoration. The small bubbles are the only negative. I think the rest of the car is done so well I didn't let that stop me from buying it. It looks amazing and it performs just as well.
