Real SS, factory color, factory 4-speed!

Real code 138 SS-396, factory 4-speed and factory color! Restored very nicely. Good looking stance, wheels, and color.

EXTERIOR: I just did my walk around and I think this car is straight. I didn't see any rust, damage, or bubbles. It fits nicely and has the double bulged SS hood. Repainted its original Tahoe Turquoise without a vinyl top. The metal flake paint is laid out evenly and it has been wet sanded and polished very smooth and glossy. It looks like all the chrome and stainless trim has been replaced, even the vent window frames look new. Jambs are painted nicely, the weatherstrips have been replaced.

INTERIOR: It is very nice inside. Factory born bucket seats with console car. The seat are restored like new including cushions and upholstery. New carpet on the floor and a nice set of embroidered Lloyd mats. The door panels, armrests and handles have been replaced. The headliner is new and tight as a drum with new matching visors. The dome light works. The center console is in excellent shape, and it has a working a clock. New Hurst shifter sticking out of it. In front of me is a new dash pad, chrome trim, knobs, and custom SS cushion grip wheel. It's upgraded with a retro stereo and there's a Cl chrome gauge cluster below the dash. Clean heater control panel. New seat belts, the fronts are retractable.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Strong running 396 with an aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, HEI ignition system and a set of headers. It runs cool with an aluminum water pump and radiator. New chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The power brake system, the alternator, wiper motor all looks like they've been replaced. It also has a new wiring harness. The metal surfaces are all very smooth and painted glossy. Overall, a very tidy motor compartment.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. The weatherstrip and seat divider have been replaced. Solid metal trunk floor is neatly spatter painted.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame. The frame was prepped and painted gloss black, new body bushings. The suspension and steering were gone through. Very nicely routed 2 1/2 exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. New fuel system. Rebuilt brakes, disc in front. Brake lines and e-brake cables were replaced. Looking up at the motor it has a new oil pan, correct starter. It's a correct Muncie 4-speed trans. New driveshaft. 12 bolt rear with end with an aluminum finned cover. The floors look solid and have a fresh light undercoating.

This color separates it from the others, not to mention it has great fit and finish. The interior is exceptional. Shifting those gears, making the exhaust rumble is really where the fun begins.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
