Just finished a detailed rotisserie restoration!
Just finished a thorough rotisserie restoration. Very detailed and dialed in. According to the cowl tag it was born a red Rally Sport. It's loaded up with features.EXTERIOR: Slick! The body is absolutely straight, every square inch of it. The body gaps are all precise. It has a metal cowl hood. The red paint is smooth and glossy. The Rally Sport includes hideaway lights with electric motors, wide rocker trim moldings and relocated reverse lights. It also features spoilers and bumper guards. Every piece of exterior trim has been replaced- lenses, emblems, bumpers, moldings, weatherstrips etc. The rally wheels and BFG tires are new. It has a new white convertible top.
INTERIOR: Brand spanking new red deluxe interior. It's new down to the little bits and pieces. New cushions with tight fitting deluxe upholstery. New molded door panels. Reproduction red seat belts front and back. New red carpet and reproduction floor mats. New center console with working light, factory gauge cluster and a Hurst shifter sticking out of it. All the metal trim inside is painted just as slick as the outside. New Deluxe steering wheel on a tilt column. Speedometer and tachometer look like new. The knobs, pillars, dash pad, visors, mirror, heater control panel are new too. Upgraded with a retro stereo.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 396 motor has an Edelbrock intake, Holley carb, MSD ignition and coated long tube headers. Features include power steering and power brakes. New alternator, fuel pump, fan shroud, hoses etc. Actually everything looks new down to the nuts and bolts. The engine bay is detailed up very nicely, new chrome and the metal surfaces are painted smooth.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rock solid metal that's been spatter painted then given a durable clear coat finish. The trunk latch assembly, tail light assemblys, wiring harness, weatherstrip, well liner all look new. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. It has the "shaker cans".
UNDERSIDE: The body was put on a rotisserie, all the components were removed and restored. The front end suspension and steering is completely new including ball joints, shocks, bushings, steering components, springs etc. It's all detailed. The rear suspension is also rebuilt- new springs, shocks and bushings. The brake system is completely restored, it has disc in front and new e-brake cable assembly. Fuel system is all new including the straps, sending unit and polished stainless steel tank. New dual exhaust system. The bottom of the motor is spotless, has a high torque starter. The Muncie 4-speed looks fresh, new shift linkage. The drive shaft is restored. It has a 12-bolt rear end with posi gears. The bottom side of the car is perfectly clean, smooth metal all painted semi gloss black. This is a detailed undercarriage, all the components look fresh.
Someone is going to benefit from somebody else's meticulous work. Very desirable features and colors!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
