1968 Mercedes Benz 250 SL Roadster

In 1968, only 488 units were produced for USA. The 113 body was totally different from the 190 SL. Powered by overhead cam 6 cylinder engine with 7 main bearings. The body and suspension are arguably the most significant outgrowths of the 190 and 300 SL. During the 60's handling and road adhesion progressed faster than any other aspect of auto design. As stated in the book, "The SL experience" by John Olson, page 78 states 11 reasons why the 230 SL is a worthy successor to the 300 SL race car. This is a wonderful original car showing 27,500 believed actual miles as shown by the original blue interior. The exterior is clad in mirror finish snow white paint. The chrome is excellent, the original fuel injected engine was completely rebuilt in Dec 2015 with only 10 test miles. Restoration by "Born Again Restorations" in Las Vegas in August 2015.
