In 1928 Myron Forbes and Albert Erskine merged between Studebaker and Pierce Arrow.

In 1928 Myron Forbes and Albert Erskine merged between Studebaker and Pierce Arrow.  It was not a happy marriage for either party, however it resulted in doubling Pierce sales to 10,000 units for 1929.  The new cars were straight 8's developed in Buffalo, NY.  In 1929 Albert Erskine became president of Pierce Arrow.  The engine for 1929 was on the drawing board for many years.  The 1929 engine was extremely dependable with a main bearing for every throw.  This 4 door sedan was clad in 2 tone blue paint aprox. 25 years ago.  The speedometer reads 23,150 miles, which could be accurate.  This is a wonderful solid car with wide whitewalls, dual side mounts and rear mount trunk.  The chrome and paint are presentable, and the interior seats show some damage patina. Mechanically, this Pierce runs and drives very well and is an excellent survivor example of a 5 passenger model 125 sedan.  Complete video of this vehicle available for $50, refunded with vehicle purchase, and includes overnight shipping of video.  Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
