Cadillac made significant styling and mechanical changes to it's 1941 model line. Headlights were fully integrated into the front fenders and a horizontal-theme grille stretched from side to side. The body took on proportions of what would follow in the post war years. The hood opens from the front and the gas cap was hidden in the left rear taillight, which was characteristic of Cadillac cars for some time to come. General Motors new fully-automatic transmission, dubbed Hydra-Matic, was also introduced this year. In recent years these Series 62 Sedans have seen an uptick in popularity. They can often be seen rumbling down far-flung rural routes participating in Classic Car Club of America and Cadillac LaSalle Club cross country tours. The Series 62 V8 engines run strong over many miles. The Touring Sedan showcased here is an excellent driver that's nicely presented from bumper to bumper. Paint and chrome look good, belying it's older restoration. Interior trim and upholstery are in good condition. The Dashboard is an eye-catcher and gauges are clean. Seats are free of torn fabric and surrounding upholstery shows minor wear. This Cadillac is ready to tour in style! Youtube video available upon request.
