Q: How long does it take to visit?

A: Typically, people spend an average of 3.5 hours in the Volo Museum, 1.15 hours in Jurassic Gardens, and 45 minutes in Titanic. You can also spend several hours exploring the Volo Antique Malls located on the property. It's recommended to allocate time for lunch, shopping, and treats at Grams Central Station or enjoy a round of mini-golf at Jurassic Jens mini-golf in Jurassic Gardens. Both Platinum and Gold TICKETS are valid for two consecutive days admission. All other tickets are for one day admission.

Q: Are the attractions indoors?

A: The majority of our attractions are indoors, consisting of several buildings in close proximity. We also have many outdoor areas to enjoy in favorable weather, including playgrounds and groomed seating areas.

Q: What does it cost to visit?

A:  We offer various options ranging from our all-access Platinum ticket to individual park tickets for those with specific interests or limited time. You can view our options HERE.  Both Platinum and Gold tickets are valid for two consecutive days admission. All other tickets are for one day admission. 

Q: Is everything on your website available at all times?

A: Everything listed on our website is part of the VoloFun.com experience; however, some displays may be closed due to weather, maintenance, or repair. If you are coming for a specific display, please CONTACT US prior to your visit for varification.

Q: What are your hours?

A: We are open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with extended summer hours. We are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On Christmas and New Year's Eve, we close at 3:00 PM. Last admittance is at 4:00 PM without exceptions.

Q: Do you allow pets?

A: While we love animals, for the comfort of all our guests, we only allow certified service animals.

Q: Do you allow outside food or beverages?

A: We provide outdoor picnic space for those who bring their own food. Due to health code regulations, outside food is not allowed in our diners except for those with special dietary needs.

Q: Do we need advanced reservations?

A: Advance reservations are not required. Our admission tickets can be purchased online or onsite and used any time within one year of purchase. Some exhibits may have limited attendance and require a wait.

Q: How do I get there?

A: Our address is 27582 Volo Village Rd, Volo, IL 60073. We are located 5 miles from the nearest Metra station, and parking is free.

Q: Is the facility handicap accessible?

A: Due to the age and nature of the property, we are mostly handicap accessible. We have handicap bathrooms, but not all bathrooms are handicap accessible. Some outdoor terrain can have challenging inclines and declines. All exhibits can be viewed, but some exhibit features may not be fully accessible. We do rent wheelchairs and mobility scooters ranging from $10 to $55 per day. You can reserve a wheelchair or scooter online HERE.

Q:  Do you offer discounts for groups or field trips?

A: Yes, we do offer discounts on admission and food for groups of 15 or more when booked 2 weeks in advance. You can learn more about group visits and field trips HERE

Q:  I am interested in purchasing a car, do I have to pay admission? 

A: If you're interested in purchasing a car, you can visit our website volocars.com to view our inventory. If you see a car that interests you, you can CONTACT US to make an appointment with a salesperson to waive the admission fee. If you simply want to browse the cars for sale, you would be subject to the admission fee, but that fee would be refunded if you purchase a car.

Q: Do you allow strollers?

A: We do allow strollers or wagons up to 31 inches wide and 52" inches long. 

 

Volo Museum Specific FAQ:

 

Q: Are there only cars in the museum?

A: While the focus is on vintage domestic vehicles, the Volo Museum offers much more. Included with a general admission ticket, guests can see not only vintage cars but also one of the largest collections of memorable movie cars, an immersive military exhibit with uniforms, vehicles, weapons, and artifacts. Additionally, there are RVs, campers, tractors, snowmobiles, scooters, bikes, animatronics, a carousel, Orchestrion, kiddie rides, vintage arcades, a Disney gallery, trains, and more. With the Platinum pass, guests have access to our Crime and Punishment exhibit, but it's optional, and admission can be purchased at the exhibit location for those with a standard ticket.

Q: Are your movie cars real?

A: Most of our movie cars are screen or production-used, or studio replicas.

Q: Can your carousel and child's Ferris wheel be ridden?

A: Our rides are available for viewing daily, but they are available for riding on select days.

Q: Can you sit in or touch the cars?

A: All exhibits are displayed for viewing only unless noted otherwise. Guests can sit in the Flintmobile and Indy race car for photo opportunities.

Jurassic Gardens Specific FAQ:

 

Q: Is Jurassic Gardens suitable for people with sensitivities?

A: Jurassic Gardens is a thrilling experience with moving dinosaurs, dark spaces, and loud noises. We recommend those with noise sensitivity bring ear protection. Earplugs are available for purchase in our gift shop. We also recommend visiting us during Sensory Sunday, which is the 3rd Sunday of every month from 10 AM to 12 PM. During this time, the sounds and movements are off, and lights are on, providing a more sensory-friendly experience.

Q: Do you have any interactive displays?

A: Yes, we have several interactive displays including two fossil dig pits where guests can uncover dino skeletons, a lookout town, an augmented reality sand table, a short movie, and a gem mining station.

Q: When is your mini-golf open?

A: If there is no snow, our mini-golf is open!
