VOLO — Brian Grams has been looking forward to seeing Travis Morris again ever since he saw him perform “Jailhouse Rock” at Miller’s Dog ’n Suds last summer.

He’ll get his chance at the Volo Auto Museum this Sunday, Jan. 8, on what would have been Elvis Presley’s 82nd birthday. And you’re invited, too.

Elvis, aka Morris, will enter the building at 27582 Volo Village Road prior to his 11 a.m. performance and will stick around for a repeat hour-and-a-half show starting at 1:30 p.m.

Between sets, museum-goers can take photos with the popular performer against the extremely rare backdrop of the King’s personal, carefully authenticated, 1974 pink and white Cadillac Seville station wagon.

“Elvis had many cars,” said Grams, director of the museum. “He bought a lot of cars and he gave many away. Ours is unique because he had this car custom-built for his personal use, waiting several months to take delivery.

“Unlike most cars associated with him, which have been in museums and on display at events, this one was out of the public eye and never seen by Elvis fans until we bought it.”

Morris has developed a following as a talented, devoted and detail-driven Elvis impersonator since 1993. “I was so impressed by his performance I knew I had to invite him to the museum,” Grams said. “I figured Elvis’ birthday would be perfect.”

In honor of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll’s sweet tooth, the party also will feature free cupcakes — while supplies last.

Normal admission rates apply.

The Volo Auto Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. It features roughly 400 classic, muscle, Hollywood cars and more. Admission is $15 for adults, $9 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and younger. For other information, call 815-385-3644 or find Volo Auto Museum on Facebook.
