Real California SS, body off frame restored. a/c, ps, pdb

We have a true SS born Camaro documented with a copy of an invoice. It was sold new By Bob Carstens Chevy in California. We also have the original protect-o-plate. It's a real SS but it is packed with killer upgrades. Body off frame restored!

EXTERIOR: Clean California body. It is straight and fits great. It has spoilers front and back. It's been refinished in a more exciting Daytona yellow and no vinyl top. It is smooth and glossy. All the chrome and trim are in very nice shape. The glass looks to be replaced, it's all crystal clear. Its stance is beautiful on polished Torque Thrust wheels wearing 17” Nitto Street performance tires, wider in back.

INTERIOR: The interior has been restored and upgraded. It features deluxe molded door panels and a padded dash that's all been refinished. It has upgraded Autometer tachometer and speedo in the instrument panel. The Heater- A/C controls look to be replaced, as well as a retro style AM/FM stereo installed. The center console features 4 pack white faced matching auxiliary gauges, and a B&M ratchet shifter. Sport Pro Car bucket seats have been installed that look new, they hold you nicely in place and are comfortable. Also added are retractable shoulder belts. The back seat was reupholstered to match the front bucket seats. The headliner looks like it's been replaced with an upgraded vinyl, and the carpet looks to be replaced with a great fitment.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Hot Rod Alert! Although 295HP SS is fun and all, this one has had a heart transplant for a little more oomph. You're looking at an American Speed 383 Chevy Enforcer engine pushing 400HP. It's fitted with Edelbrock RPM heads with stage 1 porting, hydraulic roller Comp cam, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750 carb, HEI distributor, and a set of long tube coated headers. The front of the motor has billet brackets and power steering. It also has power brakes with a cadmium plated booster. It runs cool with a bigger radiator and a new fan and shroud. Last but not least, it's got what everyone wants: An upgraded Vintage Air heat and a/c system. The engine bay has clean metal that is painted nicely. All the components look clean and proper.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid is slick and glossy, the weather stripping is new. It's all solid metal with the correct grey spatter paint. There's a nice trunk mat, and on the right side is where the battery has been relocated. There's a master disconnect switch to keep the battery charged. Installed in the correct spot is a donut spare.

UNDERSIDE: It has been body of frame restored. Everything rebuilt or replaced along with some upgrades. Front end has been rebuilt, detailed, and upgraded with a Hotchkiss sway bar. Frame connectors tie the front to the back to prevent twisting. Adjustable air shocks in back. Drum brakes in back, upfront is upgraded with Baer drilled and slotted disc. E-brake is hooked up. The exhaust is great sounding with Flowmaster mufflers and an equalizer pipe. The fuel system has been upgraded with an inline electric fuel pump and braided lines. Looking up at the motor it is clean, starter and flywheel cover look fresh. It has been upgraded with a 200R-4 overdrive automatic that has an extra capacity pan. 12 bolt rear. The parking brake cables are hooked up and functional. It also has rear air shocks equipped for better handling with the 12 bolt posi rear end. The floors are clean metal and painted semi-gloss black.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and tightened the belts, replaced door and trunk locks, lubed rear window tracks, installed door bumpers, and replaced an exhaust hanger.

This Camaro is for the guy that not only wants to show off a classic car but drive it as well. Not only is it appealing on the outside but the inside too. What's not to love about an OEM plus restoration. This one has the look and the power and safety to back it.
