Rotisserie restored, real Cuda with a 440 6-pack!
This is a real Cuda with original fender tag. Same owner since 1986, 32 years! That's all good but what's really exciting is that was upgraded to a 440 6-pack motor, painted plum crazy purple and it underwent a meticulous 10 year rotisserie restoration. Only 1,137 miles since finished. A pile of receipts and a ton of pictures are available documenting the restoration.EXTERIOR: Looks like a piece of wet grape candy. Body is laser straight, fits tight, no bubbles, cracks or damage. Doors shut like new. The Plum Crazy paint is laid out evenly, cleared and polished like glass. Jambs have slick paint. Upfront the grill is completely restored- the bezels, argent silver paint and the chrome bumper look new. Has the sport hood, chrome sport mirrors and hockey stick stripe with the 440 designation. In back the tail panel is detailed- satin black finish, lenses and bumper look new. Windshield, window seals and weatherstrips are new. Has 15 inch Rallye wheels with brand new Cooper white letter tires.
INTERIOR: Very nicely restored inside. New dash pad. It has the rally gauge cluster for instrumentation and they're all working including the clock. Nice steering wheel and console. Seats are reupholstered, carpet is replaced and new headliner fits tight. The side panels are the original thick plastic in really nice shape, reproductions are much flimsier. Rear speaker shelf is new. The window regulators were rebuilt.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored and detailed to show quality. The engine bay and bottom of hood is clean metal painted a glossy Plum Crazy. Original fender tag is still attached. The motor is a completely rebuilt 1969 440, by Opel engineering. Has Mr 6-pack cam, original cast iron intake and 3 new Holley carbs with correct metal air cleaner.. The components all look new- the alternator, police electronic distributor, Accel plug wires, refurbished big block radiator, fan shroud, pulleys, belts, brake booster, wiper motor. Everything on the firewall is in excellent shape. Motor has a nice fresh coat of Hemi Orange. The headers are double coated. Has the correct six pack metal air cleaner on top
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotless metal painted glossy purple including under the lid and the jamb. Has new weatherstrip and plaid rubber mat.
UNDERSIDE: Just as beautiful underneath. Fantastic metal. Clean seams, spotwelds etc. Has welded in frame connectors that look factory installed. The entire underside is a smooth glossy Plum Crazy with clear coat. Up front the steering and suspension is completely rebuilt and detailed. Has firm feel steering. Bottom of the motor is spotless. 727 TorqueFlite trans is rebuilt by well known Mopar racer-Lee Kapustka. Has TF2 shift kit and Turbo Action converter. Has new disc brakes. In back it has an 8 3/4 rear end with 3.55 sure grip gears, new drum brakes, new fuel tank, new lines, new suspension bushings, new springs. It has Billstein gas shocks front and back. Driveshaft was rebuilt and balanced.
Mr 6 pack-Bob Karakashian helped set up the combination of motor and transmission specs that work together best. This is a hot Cuda!
