Famous 50s custom time capsule!

The "White Pearl" a famous 1950s custom time capsule! This is a piece of nostalgic history that was featured in 7 rod and custom magazines and won over 50 awards by 1960. It is in it's original, unrestored customized condition. Famous east coast builder- John North bought a brand new 57 Ford with the ultra rare 312 motor with factory dual quads and made it into this custom masterpiece. The suspension was was slammed to the ground. Body was shaved smooth of any handles or emblems. Doors and trunk open by remote. In front it features a tubular grill, bumperettes, center roll pan and truck headlights. In back the bumper was replaced with a roll pan and nerf bars. Custom tear drop taillights, of course with blue dots. It's dressed up with dummy spotlights and thin lake pipes encased in a molded cover. Scallops and stripes were tastefully applied on the 16 coats of Lincoln white paint. The interior is completely upholstered in tuck and rolled naugahyde including the floors and a rear tonneau cover. A nonfunctional TV was put in the dash as an added wow factor. Motor was dressed with chrome. Auto trans was replaced with 3-speed manual floor shift. You know what, this car drives like a dream! It shifts, accelerates and handles like a new one. 2nd owner was famous 50s musician Gene Pitney. Currently part of the very significant Bortz Auto Collection.
