The 1939 Ford Standards were moderately restyled after the previous year models.  They retained the same overall design as the 38's with only slight changes to the belt line trim on the hood and grille.  At this time the deluxe models would feature the new "Cateye" grilles.  Fewer of these Standard 39's survived today due to car restorers preference for the deluxe models.  Ironically, this had a reciprocal effect on the value of the 39 Standards.  Over the years we've seen exceptionally restored Standard 39's bring as much or in some cases more than the same year deluxes.The immaculate Standard Tudor showcased here is a testimony to that trend.  Over the years we've sold many 39 Standards but without a doubt this is the best and the most unique we've seen.  This 39 Standard Tudor sedan is finished in a rare but authentic Tropic green Ford paint color looking absolutely flawless.  The exterior color contrasts perfectly with the warmth of the chestnut leather interior that looks better than new.  Seams and cushions are firm.  Even the headliner is leather and looks more robust than the typical bedford cloth liners.  Dashboard is dazzling with warm enamel and gauges that are crystal clear.  Engine compartment is as fresh looking as the rest of the car with natural finish heads and manifold; which gives this otherwise humble flathead V8 a show quality appearance.  Needless to say the car has been kept in top running condition.  This is among the best driving Standards we've taken on the road.  Youtube video available upon request.  Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video and/or vehicle information.
